Location and History
Eden lies in the Ogden Valley, between the North and Middle Fork of the Ogden River and north of Pineview Reservoir. 1 The first home was a log cabin built in 1857, and a community was established in 1859 when fifteen settlers moved in via North Ogden Canyon and Pass. 1 The surveyor who plotted the town suggested the biblical name "Eden," replacing the earlier temporary name North Fork Town. 1
