Location and History

Enterprise has a post office in operation since 1899 and was settled largely by residents of the town of Hebron, later abandoned. ¹ The city was named for the settlers' enterprising plan to find a water supply; cattle ranchers thrived in the area, and settlers constructed a dam to support the town and agriculture. ¹ The city has a total area of 2.9 square miles, all land. ¹
